Service Description

This test confirms if you are infected with chickenpox or shingles. Both of these conditions are caused by the VZV (varicella zoster virus), a member of the herpes virus family. After you have chickenpox, the virus stays in your body and can cause shingles later in life. The Chickenpox (VZV) test confirms infection by identifying antibodies produced by your immune system in response to either a VZV infection or vaccine. This test does not require fasting.
